Globe, Arizona

The Snell House is one of the finest homes in the community. Built in 1911, the building stone is a locally quarried volcanic material called dacite. The roof is of slate with tiled ridges. The style evokes the feeling of an English manor house. The living room and dining room, with their large windows, oak floors, oak paneled wainscoting, oak hutches and cabinets with leaded glass doors, brass lighting fixtures and ashlar stone fireplace, are excellent examples of the Craftsman interior.
